The tea factory we visited at Nuwara Eliya.

1.The first stop was withering area. This process will blow-dry the young leaves that were freshly picked. We were told that they only pick young leaves and each pick should consist of 3 leaves only.

Workers moved the sufficiently dried leaves to the next process.
The dried leaves were thrown into a tunnel slide that was connected with a huge rolling machine, a floor below.

2. The rolling area.
3. Drying area. This process used high temperature to dry the rolled leaves which were being shred to small pieces earlier. The high temperature was fired up by a burning furnace right behind the drying machine.
