Terra Farm Tree House, Brinchang Cameron Highland 22 December 2013

We stayed at tree house no. 4 this time round. It is situated higher from the ground as compare to the previous, biggest tree house no.3 that we stayed. 

The view from the tree house is simply stunning. We were surrounded with trees.

Two queen size beds for us. The upper bed is very close to the roof.

We love, love, love this place. 

Terra Farm Tree House, Brinchang, Cameron Highland Pahang 14 September 2013

We started with visiting Terra farm and ended up knowing a bit of how plants can grow naturally and healthily. I said, "a bit " because I am not fluent in Mandarin which was the language of choice of the owner who is passionately explaining when we were touring the farm.  It is heartwarming to know a farmer who cares so much on planting 'real' food. Terra vegetables will be part of our diet from now on.  

This is the dining hall or community hall and kitchen where all the guests of the total six tree houses mingle, eat and cook. The ingredients for cooking is provided by Terra. We paid RM 100 per adult and RM 80 per kid, per night.  

En suprised (maybe I should said shocked) everyone (yes, including me) by entertaining the crowd here at the dining hall. (no photo of it though) by belting up a few songs right in front. 

I was awestruck by how fearless she is. And if you asked me what I did to my child, I did nothing but just being her biggest supporter and trusting her that she will bloom naturally on her own.

At 7 am sharp, she dashed out of the tree house with one of her close friend, xy  all for the sake of cooking in the kitchen, preparing breakfast.

From tree house number 6, which located at the highest point among the six tree houses, we hiked up through the cold jungle.

The children of Terra happily brought their kid-guests to pluck some strawberries, leading the way through the hilly farm. I am impressed by how calm and kind hearted these children are. And it struck me hard, to live even more simple and cut down unnecessarily distractions. Do what matters but not what the crowd does.

Being 9 in a group, we stayed at the biggest tree house. Other tree houses accommodate 4 to 7 people.

This big tree house has two doors where both lead to two rooms. The room on the right side has a ladder that goes up to another room and there is where all the 9 of us slept.

The toilet/shower is located behind it at the side.

We utterly love love this place. Simple and refreshing. 

Earth Camp, Nomad Adventure. Gopeng 16 April 2011

It's durian season at Gopeng. Shortly after we stepped into Earth Camp, durian plop down with a loud thud. En scooted the loot back to the treehouse. Yes, we could eat free durian from the trees. 

The rambutan appeared to be riped and juicy but I now see them to be quite sour. ;p

We were assigned to a connecting treehouse. One treehouse for 2 pax.

The steps with huge gap.

It has a small ceiling fan in the room. In the day, mosquitoes can be a nuisance. At night, the air was really cold and we slept comfortably without mozzies disturbance. Hui who never complain of coldness before, asked to switch off the fan in the wee morning.

Bring an additional adapter as there is only one power socket available.  If you turn on the fan, you can't charge your mobile or camera.

There are ample windows which ventilate the room. Mozzies are able to sneak in through gaps in between the planks and roof. The mattresses are thin and clean mattress cover sheet is provided. In addition, there is also a thin white cloth for blanket. Bring your own pillow.

Toilet and showers with gap on the roof. If you are a tall person, your head is visible when you shower.

The doors have gaps at most sides. To make it worse, there is no wall surrounding the capsules (check the photo above).

The reason of why there are gaps between door and frame is stated at the entrance of the bathroom.!

Breakfast. Other food include sandwiches, fried rice and Milo (very sweet)

A night stay at the treehouse is RM 55 per person(adult or child) which include lunch, dinner and breakfast.  with a condition that at least 2 adults take Nomad Adventure activities such as white water rafting or rope course.  It's RM150 per person for white water rafting.

En who was obssessed with this book Outdoor Adventure Handbook: The Essential Pocket Guide for the Young Adventurer started some adventure outdoors on her own.

Hui found a long stick with two branches and was seen running all over with it.

En prepared for camp fire at night. I forgot the marshmallow.

En and her favourite pet. Of late, Hui shied away from cat after seeing En got bitten by one.

We heard of one woman, aged 50+  uttered " It's very exciting"

Look at the scrumptious home baked food prepared for us and not forgetting my delicious well-brewed cup of coffee. I can never thank N enough.

En & Ish climbed up the branches in the treehouse at the front yard! The moment we saw the treehouse, we went waaahhhh. It is so stunning !!
