First Aid Course with Maheasuran 1 August 2015

Kids and I attended a two days First Aid workshop with Maheasuran. Seeing the kids in the workshop, some worried if they would be scared to watch video with lots of blood. As a matter of fact, I am so much more a scaredy-cat than them. 

Thankfully, they didn't fidget at all during the dry theory session. 

A doughnut ring En made with a triangular bandage for wound with embedded object. The one I made was too big, commented our instructor.

Hui cheered for almost everyone up when they did the CPR !!!  

En got her turn on CPR too.  

Immobilized the legs of Uncle Steven with triangular bandages.

Putting him on a stretcher. 

And carried him out of the building.

Introductory to First Aid @Taylor University Lakeside Campus 12 July 2011

This fun one hour first aid session was conducted out of goodwill by a lecturer @Taylor. It was a great one hour for me, reminiscing memories of my past first aid examinations and classes that I have to sit in ! :D
And for the kids, it served as an introductory on what first aid is all about.

 The slides are informative on first-aid related matters where it touched on burns, choking, first-aid box..

This is the place where the hands-on CPR was performed.

Hui bought some sticker-seal that came in 4 pieces from Daiso. Greatheartedly, she gave En 2. Both asked for help, in ironing it on their choice of clothes. I lower the ironing board and told them to iron themselves.   

I added " If you get scalded, run to the tap and place the affected area under the running water until the pain is relieved ".
