Kung Fu Panda 2 26 May 2011

It was a lazy afternoon, watching movie (before the school holiday and crowd!! ) with our complimentary cinema tickets. :)

Hearing them laughed their heart out was priceless.

Rapunzel, rapunzel let down your hair 12 December 2010

Both watched "Rapunzel" with dad. And I heard they were emotional and cried during the movie.
En commented, "The story is different. They didn't steal the vegetables"
Hui said 'It was the old woman who fell and not the prince'

Sound, Music & Science Workshop @PSN 29November 2010

This 'sensei' seem to have an affirnity with Hui. Hui followed her cue and played along.

These are the two DIY musical instrument made at the workshop. The paper cup created a clucking sound when pulled, which made the kids burst into fits of laughter. The other tiny piece of straw which was cut diagonally at one end, from both side, acted as a whistle when you blow into it.

The best thing was the animation studio, where En witnessed the animation of my recordded voice in the Garfield movie by using an animation software. She has been asking me about this for a long time.

Hui joined the colouring group where it's not En's cup of tea.

Right- Hui tried on the computer puzzle-games. Lately, she has retired from the jigsaw puzzles at home.

Toy Story 3 27 June 2010

Sunday 1225pm

Thanks to aunt ling for the movie vouchers.

Hui was teary and terrified ! She wanna get out of the cinema.
En enjoyed the movie.

I got "permission " to sneak in and out of the movie. I love the ending the most, where Andy gives Woody to Bonnie, and together they play with his toys one last time before he leaves for college.

Lots of exquisite bonsai exhibitions at Tropicana Mall, PJ.

Pixar Exhibition, Singapore 16 June 2010

Wednesday pm.
Pixar Exhibition
It rained cats and dogs. I cancelled the outdoor plan . Lynn told me Pixar exhibition tour is in town and Singapore is the only stop in South East Asia (2 April till 27 June 2010). Pretty pricey - SGD20 adult and SGD15 child.

It featured hundreds of paintings, drawings and artwork on papers, sculptures and short animation movies.

En was glued to Toy Story Zoetrope. It uses 150 3D characters. When the maquettes spin around, we see a number of this frozen images in quick succession and creating an illusion of continous motion.

No photography is allowed.

Toy Story Zoetrope - downloaded from internet.

Alice in Wonderland 4 April 2010

Sunday 645pm

EnHui brought along caterpillar, echidna, penguin and puppy for movie! I also found a blankie in Hui's bag.

Left- En with Mad Hatter. Right- Hui wonder who he is!

EnHui were terrified when Bandersnatch appeared and chased after Alice. En asked "Can we leave when a movie is not finished?". Hui said " I want to go now!". I suggested that we leave but En said "No". Hui hid in my arms and peeped. Eventually, Hui fell asleep :) and En immersed in Wonderland, or...Underland. At the end of the movie, we were delighted with Mad Hatter doing a Fudderwupping dance. :D

I like this quote " You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are. "

After the movie, En asked "How do they make Alice small in the movie? How do they make her big? How do they have big ears, nose? "

Hui  said " I don't like the monster fighting. I dont' like fighting"

Percy Jackson & the lightning thief 6 March 2010

Saturday afternoon.
En is interested in Greek Mythology Creatures. When I told her about this movie, she was scared stiff but was keen to watch it. In this movie, you get to see Poseidon, Zeus, Hades, Minotaur, Fury, Satyr, Medusa, Hydra, Athena, Lotus Eater, Demigods and Centaur. For the first time, Hui sat intently throughout the movie and muttered "Don't fight".

Left-En happily showing the movie tickets.

Next planned-movie - Alice in the Wonderland.
