En Hui helped cleaning up the home after their friends left. I was pooped at the end of the day but felt so great as they had such a great time. The best was,  En thanked me.  "Mom, I had a great day. Thank you".

En & Ish climbed up the branches in the treehouse at the front yard! The moment we saw the treehouse, we went waaahhhh. It is so stunning !!

With 3 seven year old girls today, they took away most of the buckets & cook up a feast. It's a relief seeing Hui being accepted to join in. At times, En would wanna have a private time with two of her best friends.

The kids seems to have lots more fun with more people today :) Ayman swam in the adult pool while Max climbed up the tunnel slide! What a great achievement. En and Abby were enjoying the swing meant for 12-18monthls old (photo above, right). Unfortunately, the enjoyment were short-lived when we told them to get up! :D Millions thanks to aunty S Ming again, for organising the trip.

Saturday 930am

It was a splendid morning at bird park. Birds everywhere and a great company. Magnificent trip indeed. 

Left- I can't take my eyes away from these birds, modest and yet dazzling. Right- remember to carry enough 50cent coins to feed fish/bird food vending machines that are all over the place.

At the 'World of Parrots'. These birds were starving and barged at you the moment you hold the food. :) Right - En uttered "come on, come on - offering her hand as a perch". With no food, the birds kept still.

En's wish to have a chick at home. She was the happiest girl there!

Left- Feeing ostrich. Right- Little Hui followed her sister's footstep and wanna showed she could hold a chick too. What caught her attention most was the birds photo-taking area. You pay a fee and get your photo taken with all sort of birds, perching at your shoulder, arms and thigh.

In the car, Hui drew this picture. She told me "It's dad taking picture with the birds"

Weekday fees RM22. Pretty pricey but it's worth the money when Enhui came with Hani, Arina, Aneesa, Ayman, Ayra and John. A whole lotsa fun with a group of kiddos. The terrific part was, mommy got a short break 'now and then'. YAY! I mentioned 'now and then' as the toddlers-aged kids would still call upon mommy. My mind came prepared with an uninterrupted getaway and was a bit upset when Hui called on me. Thankfully, I could instantly reset my mind to " interruption- allowed break" and things fell into place after that. 

 *Beware ! Parking at Mid Valley could be 'pain in the neck'. Avoid at all cost if there are events going on. Garden parking would be the best bet.   

Snake show @National Museum 11 October 2010

 Monday 10am

There is a "Orang Asli Craft Museum" next to the parking area of National Museum. Enhui were glued to the orang asli documentary  being shown on the TV (right) till they saw Abby & Gabby. 

Snake show (left) -  En ran to the back when it started. Hui gazed at it intently. Eventually, En came back and occasionally fell to the floor when the show seemed frightening for her.

ICCA Wedding Cake Competition @Sunway Giza 2 October 2010

Saturday 530pm

This event has been an eye opener for me. We browsed through rows of stunning wedding cake of art. Left-  This marvellous white wedding cake somehow captured my attention. I admired it for a long time. Later on, I realised it has won the second prize!  En loved this one, with a staircase (Right)

        

Indian's Lace - by a 12 years old unschooler , the youngest contestant over there!  We are so proud of her, admiring her skill at a very young age. It is a remarkable cake of art.  Check out her blog "Do you know the cupcake girl" ( the link is on my blog).  And yeah, we came because of her.  :)

Hari Raya Open House 2 October 2010

Saturday 3pm. We had a marvellous Raya party based on a train theme! I love this attractive home-made train cake. Enhui had a fabulous time. Thank you, aunty Rayhana. :)

Filming of 'Madu Sorok' 17 August 2010

Tuesday 10am.

We were invited to observe a short filming in a ward of a medical centre.

The crews at work - setting up the room for shooting. Oops I do not know any of the actors/actresses though some are so-called famous !

EnHui watched the crews filming and the director, Rashid Sibir saying "Action .. Cut". The actor - doctor came to check on Hui with his stethoscope!  

After that, we got a chance to check on an ambulance ! En was brimming with joy upon hearing that.

Sunday night.

They sang "I want nobody, nobody but you ! Nobody nobody  ....."  

Gabby sang with my magic mop as a mic, Hui with a pole that I use to hang the laundry and En with a toy golf club. :)

Change of Guard, Istana Negara 29 July 2010

Thursday 12pm
It is my first time at Istana Negara! Change of Guard is daily at 12pm. Direction : Head to Jalan Istana ( Istana Negara on your right side). Go straight pass Istana Negara. You will come to a fork, take the right one with the  "Pusat Bandaraya" signboard. Immediately keep right and make a U-turn back to Jalan Istana. Park by the side of Istana Negara.

En asked "How do we know if King was inside or out? " I told her to look for a flag, if it's up, he is in and vice versa.

Hui is more interested with the flowers and complaint of smelly horse & hot weather.

Here comes the guards. This is the lane where we parked our car.

 

Both guards of old and new shift rode the horse simultaneuosly towards each other and exchange position. The whole process just took about 1 minute and that's it. If you have watched the change of guard at Buckingham Palace, your reaction would be "WHAT?" ;)

Our Tuesday-playgroup met at Petrosains today. Jusco card member gets a 15% discount off the admission fees. Adult RM10.20 Kid (aged 4 and above) RM3.40

There are some new exhibits.. and more interesting compare to Pusat Sains Negara.

Pet World Malaysia 25 June2010

Friday 10am

We were at Pet World right when they opened. I thought, at this early hour, exhibitors might be setting up stalls and there was nothing much to see. True enough, some were in the midst of setting up and preparing.. and En Hui were keen in watching them working. RM5 for adult and RM2 for child. We left around 12pm.

Right- Hui saw the worker hang the fish one after another and didn't want to move away.
