Hui 's tuxpaint tutorial 8 March 2011

This software was downloaded by uncle wk for En. Hui who followed En's footstep, started using it.  

Today, seeing Hui's screen, En was shocked on how the penguin's size could be reduced. She asked her " Did you use the magic button? Hui replied No. En added 'You use the magic button, pointing to the screen'. I was eavesdropping all along, walked to the screen, curious to see the magic button. Hui firmly said No, not the magic button.

Hui said " Click here...

..and here". I blurted "Hey, this is a volume setting". Hui continued 'Then click on the screen. A mini penguin popped up. Blearrgghhh I was wrong! It's not a volume setting! errrr.

There is a magic button on the screen and I wonder what it could do. Let them discover themselves.

I need to copy this book.

Wednesday am
En need to have a copy of Franklin And Me Activity Book as she can't write on the loan copy.
I showed her how to do it and left her with the job, telling her I need to be in the kitchen.
Later on, I asked " How is it going? ". She replied " I am getting better with it ", showing me some distorted pages and the nicely copied ones. That was what she did all morning.

Letter to aunt Ling 29 July 2010

Thursday evening.

Today, En showed Hui how to post a letter.

Is it going to reach aunt ? The envelope is decorated with dangling ribbons and many stickers! The content is a piece of  En's drawing with Tux paint.

Yahoo Messenger 24 June 2010

Thursday night.
While En was replying an email,  her dad "beep" her on yahoo messenger from work.  She told him to wait as she was replying an email to her aunt.

When she finished, she quickly switched to yahoo messenger instant message with her dad.
She typed " I am back". But there was no reply.

She waited and eventually sent a sad &  crying emoticon.

A moment later, she called him on the phone. "I am back and why you didnt reply! "

When the convesation has ended, she ran back to her screen and happily chatting away with dad and LOL.

Langkawi Island 29 March 2010

Monday pm
After visiting Makam Mahsuri, we retired to the hotel. EnHui who were still full of zest, wanted to go to the pool!  So dad, who was exhausted had to go with them! :) The moment En saw the pool, she bellowed "yahoooooooo" and flinging her slippers while she ran toward it.

The pool is fun! Big. There is a deep pool, children pool and a splashing pool!

There is no beach within Awana compound. The nearest beach is within a walking distance, good only for sandcastle making . For a better one, it's a 5 minutes drive to Pantai Cenang.

  

                                        

Left- strolled along Awana jetty and checked the sea transportation of all sorts - yacht, catamaran, speedboat, kayak, cruise liner etc. Dad attended to EnHui's queries.

                                                                           

Left- En picked up a plastic bag from the sea, commented " I don't like to pollute the sea!".

When the night fell, we were at the lobby lounge as wifi internet connection is only available here, foc when you order any beverage. Dad needed to check office emails. The password given is good for days. The next day, dad used the computer at the lobby area. We couldn't get the password by just using our foc welcome drink coupon.

En's drawing for mom 27 March 2010

Saturday night.
En drew a picture for me and coloured a page of her kitty colouring book. She was self-directed in her learning most of the time. Then, she spent the night replying emails.. and she likes her email-pal, Chloe whom she hasn't met before! She refused to delete any of Chloe's emails.. so I showed her how to create a folder and moved the old emails from Chloe to this newly created folder... and that's when she said " Mom, I want to sleep now.. " So, I said "Ok, Good night".  She went to bed.

Wednesday afternoon.

Recently, Hui likes catching "signing times" on youtube. She knows more signs than me now. My laptop cool silver colour has changed to pinky girly skin. (Thanks to EnHui, their favourite colour is pink! )
