Keep the number in handy while you hike.

When you step out of the lobby, turning to your right will lead you to the trails.

Follow the path.

You will come to the wooden platform bridge.

All trails are clearly listed along your hike. 

Each trails is marked by a colour. 

The biggest wild boar we saw at the park, alongside with some small ones.

National Bako Park opening hours.

A cafetaria which located next to the jetty, served Malay food.

Check the tide. At low tide, the boats are unable to dock in front of the park.

During the monsoon season (November to March), boat fare to Bako National Park is RM50 per way. 

A boat can take a maximum of 4 persons. Whereas during the non-monsoon season, it is RM3 cheaper. 

There is a sign stated "Beware of Crocodiles" !!

The same boatman will pick you up on the return leg, so remember to tell him  the pick-up day and time.

40minutes boat ride, passing by fishermen, villages at the coastline and multiple songkor. 

We arrived at low tide and 

we have to walk the muddy shoreline to the park.

Fiddler crabs.

Carpet-like moss where its leaves are broader and longer than the normal ones we see. 

Walked through jungles.

A reptile was spotted. 

Over here, the pathway overlooked a huge boulder.

The Bako ranger advised that the trails are not suitable for young children. 

To Hui, she has hiked a tougher one than this.

Lots of funghi everywhere.

Climbed up the roots of a tree.

Walked across trunks.

Narrow plank across the wet and muddy area.

Arrived!

There are stunning rock formations that exhibits linear erosion lines at this beach. 

It took us about an hour and a half to reach here.

There were few boatmen around and we took a boat to Teluk Pandan Kecil beach and to view the seastack of Bako National Park. He dropped us back at the park entrance after that. 

We paid RM40 for it.

Lintang Trail at Bako National Park Sarawak 9 Feb 2012

Lintang trail which takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete. It leads you all the way  the to the summit of the park.

We reached the top, where the vegetation comprises of tall slim trees.

There are few varieties of pitcher plants.

Observing how the insect falls into the trap.

This trail will lead you to a board walk.

At the end of this board walk, you will come to a junction where the trail will lead you to either Jalan Teluk Pandan Kecil or Jalan Teluk Pandan Besar.

As the evening was near, we turned back.

We stayed at Forest Lodge at RM75 per night.

2 bedrooms with 2 single size beds in each bedroom. From the photo, each door represents one bedroom.

 It comes with only fan and attached bathroom.

We combined the beds and it fitted four of us nicely.

Bathroom, that comes with unfiltered brownish water.

The back door of the lodge opened to part of the forest.
