Peranakan Museum Singapore 17 January 2011

Monday 1pm
It's our third Peranakan Museum visit. The other two museums are located at Penang and Melaka.

After 7pm on a Friday - admission fee is half the original price.

Aged 6 and below are free.

I am not aware that Mdm Kwa Geok Choo is a peranakan till today :)))

Both were each given a piece of paper consists of 8 baba& nyonya items where they need to find the embossing station throughout the galleries. Brief explanation is printed next to the stamp, like -
"Peranakan has insects painted on their dining ware. They wanted their rice bowl to overflow with food in the same way as insects fill the garden in good weather".
