Unschooling Ipoh & Tambun Road Trip 12 January 2010

Tuesday, Day 2.
Aunty Po Po brought us to a famous rice roll “chee cheong fan” for breakfast @Taman Canning. The sweet sauce is maroon in color. It’s plain with just the rice roll. En said “It’s not nice” but she finished it. I am always thankful that En is not fussy with her food.

After breakfast, we went to Geological Musuem at Lorong Hariman. Over here, one can see the best collection of cassiterite in the world, collection of fossils, precious stones and over 600 samples of mineral. Unfortunately, when we arrived, it’s closed for renovation. En told me she wish to visit it one day.

We head to Darul Ridzuan Musuem at Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab. Parking and entrance is FOC. EnHui fiddled with all the things in the musuem. We are the only group over there ! YL saw a dead cockroach inside a huge flower pot. The kids got excited with it. En picked it with her hand ! eeeyykk! She loves cockroach!

After spending about an hour or two at the musuem, we drove to Bandar Baru Sri Klebang, Chemur to visit another homeschooling mom, Hamidah. On the way there, we stopped by Jusco @Jalan Tasek for lunch and got some grocery. EnHui were playing with Fai and Han on the floor while I was having my cuppa tea and toast. I overheard her, setting the rules for games and telling them what to do. ;-)

Chemor is pretty near to Jusco and we could see the Chemor road sign from there. Hamidah has 7 children and she is homeschooling 5 of them at home. (I take my hat off to her!) I admire Hamidah’s children, especially the 8 year old, Nisyah. She is so well-versed and at ease despite seeing me for the first time. I felt great seeing En played with her comfortably. Nisyah showed the kids how to shinny up the pole! at her garden. EnHui always try shinny up pole but unsuccessful. They both were so amazed with Nisyah's talent! En was seen hugged the pole and got it half way up but Hui was struggling at the bottom ! :D

Hui, Fai & Han watched TV @Hamidah's home
