Sarawak Cultural Village, Santubong Sarawak 13 February 2012

Transport to Sarawak Cultural Village is available in front of Grand Margherita. 
Adult RM10nett per way. Children RM5nett per way.

Remember the cultural show time and plan your trip accordingly.

They simply love this step, going up and down.

There are two cultural shows daily, 1130am and 4pm.

Rumah Penan.

Penan tribe looks very similar to chinese, according to Pampang Tyson, an Iban guide at the Penan hut.

Pampang showed us how to use blowpipe. He share generously and we learnt a great deal from him.

Rumah Orang Ulu

An Orang Ulu ,carving sape, a traditional musical instrument.

Rumah Melanau

Clay oven for cooking sago pearl.
There was a Melanau tribe person explained to us, the process of making sago.
Sago is a staple food for them.

River Taxi, Waterfront, Kuching 12 February 2012

River taxi that brings passenger across the river. It costs 50cent  per person.

Snorkelling at Turtle Sanctuary Pulau Satang Besar, Santubong Sarawak 11 February 2012

We came to Pulau Satang after Irrawady dolphin watching trip. It costs an additional of RM400 for two families of 8.

At the end, we were not able to snorkel due to the strong wave and when jellyfish was spotted.

Watching Irrawady dolphins, Kampung Buntal, Santubong, Sarawak 11 February 2012

Then we were taken to our boat for "Wildlife River Cruise" and "Irrawady Dolphin Watching".

We paid RM400 for two families of 8 people.

We went in between the mangrove, trying to spot a crocodile!

We were lucky to spot the Irrawady dolphins, countless of times. 

Teluk Pandan Kecil, Stack Rocks, Bako National Park Sarawak 10 February 2012

The rock formation at Bako National Park is simply amazing.

Our boatman, who picked us up from Paku Trail. 
RM40 for a ride through the stacks rocks, then to Teluk Pandan Kecil and back to the entrance at Bako National Park.

Each rock resembles some kind of animal or objects which I have forgotten.

Arrived at Bako National Park entrance at very low tide.

We have to wade the sea. The entrance of Bako is at the very end.

It was a pair of hand-me-down from my dear nephew, hence I didn't feel a pinch having them in the mud. hehe
