Transformer? 3 November 2010

Wednesday
Hui showed her new discovery of a toy-truck which can be transformed into a robot.
She could transform it really fast and will happily show you as many times as you would like to see it. :)
Truck vs robot.

Hui said 'you can put the arms behind or in front'. When En does it, she would forget one or two parts and Hui would prod her sister with a 'know-it-all' tone! :)

I try to avoid stereotyping mini-Men are from Mars or mini-Women from Venus. Inadvertently, Enhui are able to grasp it from others like  "Girls must not climb. Only boys do", "Pink is not for boys"  etc  :)

Road Layout 1 November 2010

En was reluctant to let her sis joined in the project. She told me, Hui will scribble on it. I replied  'You are concern Hui will scribble on it. Discuss with her'.

En tactfully asked her sis, "Would you like to paint on an art paper?(trying to entice Hui away from the project) " Hui happily answered "Yay"
So, the beginning part was a bliss. En painted on the road-layout cardboard while Hui on the art paper.

When Hui finished, she asked "May I paint too?"
En  : "Do you want another piece of art paper or I hold your hand to paint if you want to join?"
Hui :  I want to paint on my own. *sob sob* (using crying tactic)

En  :  You must follow my instruction on the colour, okay?
Hui : Okay.

Both painted together and Hui followed the colour that En wanted.
En gave me a small patch to paint. I painted some green grass.
A short moment later, Hui asked me, "May I paint on your side too?"

Me : Yes, come on.

En : Hui, okay you paint this side (giving her a corner patch) and you can paint anything you like.

All busy painting.  En broke the silence and asked her sister " Are you happy painting?"
Hui : Yes
En: Yes, it 's a happy painting day.

It's a simple acknowledged-helped En deal with her feeling.  She has learnt to let go that little toddler Hui would scribble and simply enjoy painting together.

Scary Halloween 31 October 2010

En loves dress-up and 'trick or treat' of Halloween. Well, that's  how the children story books describe Halloween, a not-so-scary one.  However, today at One Utama mall, the Halloween dressed-up were of spooky types. En went about hiding behind the bench, peeped and came out when they were not within reach. :) I felt eerie too, seeing the headless man who would chased those timid people around.

Waterfall @FRIM 30 October 2010

Saturday 10am
I wish to return to the waterfall that we came across when we climbed down from the canopy walk.
Enter from D5. Easy stroll which took about 40 minutes. You will pass by the canopy walkway entrance on your right. Don't turn right unless you wish to go to the canopy. Keep going straight.
Till you arrive at this sign (left) and the waterfall is on your right. It's just an ordinary waterfall but it's quieter compare to the common picnic area waterfall.

Left- two women were meditating further up by the rocks. Right- dad showed the door that was lifted up for the water to flow down.
my feet and en's - so cooling and refreshing. ooh
these are hui 's feet. :)

Building fire truck with Lego 28 October 2010

oThursday 130pm
En replied with a big 'YES' when I asked if she was keen to have a look at a giant fire truck made of Lego.
Left- a mini replica and 3/4 constructed giant fire-truck. Right- up close mini replica.

Left- side view of the fire engine. Right- En helped with the construction by following sample blocks.

Hui engrossed in the colourful Lego blocks on the floor while

En devotedly constructed more and more blocks.

En stacking the constructed blocks beside the fire truck.
Hui took notice what of her sister was doing and joined in. The 'fire-truck builder' uncle gave them both a diploma for helping out! I didn't expect to get a diploma and the trip turned out to be longer than expected. :) They asked "What is a diploma? "
En wants to return to see the ready-fire truck and we will go again.

Sunday 10am - We came to see the admirable completed giant fire truck as per En request.
