Broga Hill - 4th Peak 9 January 2011

Our third hike !! Started around 520am from the palm oil plantation and arrived at 605am at the first peak. After a short rest, we headed to the second and then to the third peak. A moment later, M urged us to move to the 4th. Without much ado, we hike to the highest peak. When we made it to the top, the first thing Hui told me was " I want to go home ". She had been hiking up mostly on her own and exhaustion sank in. Thankfully, she energised after rested. :)
The view of the first three peaks from the 4th peak.

Breezy .. and awaiting sunrise.

It was cloudy and we couldn't see the sun clearly but yet, the view was awesome.

Left- the last few steps to 400m above ground and En stood at the highest rock.

The sign "Selamat Datang Ke Puncak Bukit Broga 400m" greeted us. After the exertion, thinking this is the end, I saw another sign heading to 'Gunung Tok Wan', another 3.1km !!!

The rock climbing part at the bottom of 4th peak. Photos on En climbed down using the rope.

En arrived at the end.
Thanks to M who brought this stick along. It was a great help for me.

Hiking downhill towards 3rd peak.

En and Yee love the sliding part - got their pants filled with dirt. A faster way of hiking down.
Lots of wildflowers can be spotted over here. Sendudok.

trail left by the leaf mining moth.

En and her palm fruits.
When we made it to foot hill, Hui announced " Let's come again tomorrow" but shortly after that, she fell asleep.

The girls (mommy included) were just amazing. Seemed like they got used to the hill. They hiked with little assistance up and down the hill.

The hill is very popular and there are a lot of people climbing up as well. Wish there were less people so that we can stop and identify some plants along the journey and take more of our time to enjoy the scenery and breeze.

Still, it was a nice hike for me and felt great to have sweated it out.
