Opening hour is from 10am to 5pm.

We went on a promotional rate of RM15 per adult and RM10 per child for an hours play. Only jackets are provided.  If you are coming from the north, use NKVE and exit at Bukit Raja. Follow I-City signage. Within 3 minutes from exit, you will arive at Snowalk.

Good to see the worker sunned the jackets early in the morning.

Only jackets are provided. You need to bring your own gloves and wear covered shoes.

The moment En stepped in, she burst into laughter. She loves snow.

Hui enjoyed the cold. I have to step out early without EnHui as it was just too freezing cold for me.

At Snowalk, you are allowed to snap photos whereas at Snow World and Snow City, you are not allowed to.

Snow City Singapore 15 January 2011

Saturday 3pm

Admission fee includes entry to Science Centre which is just a stone's throw away. If you wish to just enter Snow City,  it will be a flat rate of SGD14, adult/child.  

It's a flexi entry at Snow City (how nice!) but Snow World in Genting has a fixed time, which means if you miss the current round, you have to wait for the next entry.

They provide jacket and boots but gloves are for rental. 

At Snow World Genting, it provides the three items.

Finally, we made it to Snow City. Previously, we were refused entry without long pants.

Their winter coats are so much warmer than the ones at Snow World.

There is no chance of taking photographs with own camera as the area is at the back where you can't access.

Snow World Genting vs Snow City Singapore 2 January 2011

Monday night

En pleaded to go Snow World Genting again. Once she stepped in, she ran all around laughing gaily. I felt great seeing her, so happy. Without much hesitation, she laid down and spreaded her arms and legs flat to the ground, made snow angel..  

En scooped some snow and showed me with a grin. I was outside, watching her from the glass panel.

Photos were snapped, using 'snow scene' and camera being tilted slightly away from glass panel.

Snow City Singapore next to Omnitheatre, Science Centre Road.

We went there without long pants and were refused entry. Socks are a must too.

At Snow World Genting Highland, the same requirements are practiced but it's not strictly adhered to.  

Taman Botani Negara, Shah Alam 5 December 2010

Sunday 11am

Taman Botani Negara is also called 'Taman Pertanian Malaysia'.

For direction -Head to Shah Alam from Federal Highway. Exit at 'Persiaran Kayangan'. Take right turn at roundabout. Go straight. At roundabout (with lots of flags), go straight too. Watch out for "Taman Botani Negara, Shah Alam" signage (left side), to turn right. 

contacts. all sort of activities are available, camping (by the pond), chalet, fishing and cycling. Skytrek is located at this park as well. No charge on parking. Entrance for adult is RM3 and children, aged 6 -12, RM1. Fees include bus rides.

This is a much clearer map than the print-out ones given at the entrance.

The bus route only covers the right side of the map but not the fruit plantation on the left, which is another 2.5km, either by foot or bike.

The bus queue at 11am and bus frequency is low. The bus ride travels non-stop to the last station, "Cultural Village' and will make a U-turn from here and stops at each station on the way back.

At animal park, you can see horses, porcupines, civet cat and birds.

While waiting for the bus, the kids excitedly watched how the colony of ants carried their loot back home.

Half of the crumb was stuffed into the hole. Unfortunately, the bus arrived and I was too exhausted to wait any longer and they didn't see the ending part.
