Catch an ice cube with a thread 28 April 2010
Sprinkle some salt along the thread. Wait for 30sec and lift the thread. The area where salt lands triggers melting, which cools the ice as a whole. The cooling areas without salt causes any water present to freeze, trapping the thread. Water Science, Water Fun: Great Things to Do With H2O. This experiment caught Hui's attention but not En.
