Khlong Hae Floating Market, Hatyai, Thailand. 25 December 2011

A 20minutes tuk-tuk ride from Novotel Centara Hotel.
It costs 500baht to and fro.
Our driver, Akai parked his tuk tuk here and waited patiently for our return.
He gestured us to walk past the arch and to the left.
We strolled past numerous stalls before reaching Khlong Hae Floating Market.

Ice-loli.

Rice in bamboo.

Fried insect of all sorts.

Don't fancy insects? How about maggot?

The boats were parked along the platform.

Goods and money are exchanged through a basket tied to a long pole.

I can never get enough of coconut ice cream.

En bought her favourite tornado potato.

Mackerel fish ball with a tinge of sour and spicy taste.

Eating area next to the floating market.

Sauces to enhance your tastebud.

Coconut juice.
25baht, served with a claymug and 5baht less, if you prefer to drink from a  paper cup.

Flower weaving.

Yummy but I don't know what it is.

This is how it looks like, glutinous rice maybe.
