Teck Guan Cocoa Museum, Tawau 14 March 2011

Monday
A taxi from Tawau town to Teck Guan Cocoa Museum, took about 10 minutes, cost RM10. You can easily hail a cab by the road. All taxis run without meter. You need to agree with the fare beforehand. Our taxi driver, Remy can be contacted at 019 869 1405.

The tour begin with a 20minutes video on cocoa processing and production.

Comparing Beryl Chocolate Factory to Teck Guan, I found the former more suitable for EnHui. Teck Guan museum provides such lengthy information that ones needs great interest to digest them. My brain has partially shut down in the midst of the explanation. :)

The factory manager explained each single function in details. He spoke Cantonese to us!

Cocoa Butter Press machine. All the machines were not in operation and we could only use our imagination to reflect what the manager was talking about.

The trip is such a bore that Hui sat down sadly at the corner. :)

The best part for EnHui is.... taaa daaa food tasting.
Chocolate 'tong yuen' !!! I still prefer the original ones.

popcorns, chocolatey beverage, chocolates, crackers.

You need to book in advance for a tour of the museum and it charges minimum a RM100 for 5 people.
