The homeschooling group at my area has moved up a notch. We began our first group learning today. Besides the usual free play, the mothers planned and facilitated activities which would create an environment for children to work in a group. Our next group of learning will be conducted in Bahasa Malaysia. Homeschooling can be tiring, having to take charge of our children's education but it's fulfilling and empowering being a mother who is able to witness every learning moment."Freedom to live and to think about life for its own sake is important and even essential to a child. Since we can't know what knowledge will be most needed in the future, it is senseless to try to teach it in advance. Instead, we should try to turn out people who love learning so much and learn so well that they will be able to learn whatever needs to be learned." -John Holt.
