En's home-baked cake & red eggs 29 April 2011

Friday afternoon.

En baked a simple chocolate cake for her birthday. It was her first time baking on her own, under my supervision and Hui's watchful eyes. Baking gets easier now when Hui has grown up a little. :) Her cake decorator's idea is from aunty SM previous b'day celebration for M.

A chinese custom of preparing red eggs on birthday. Red is an auspicious colour for chinese. For the kids, it 's a fun process of boiling and dying the eggs.
